We lost our children's great grandfather early this morning. Even though I married into this family merely five years ago, at times I fail to remember that he wasn't my own grandfather. He was just so welcoming and made me feel right at home. He even inspired some of my favorite illustrations . Pop was a wonderful man whom I will warmly remember for his gruff yet affectionate manner and family-centered values. He will be greatly missed.

  1. Thinking of you. It's lovely that you have these illustrations as a memory of your grandfather.

  2. Oh, I'm so sorry! It is always so sad when we lose those we love. What makes it a little bearable is if we have lots of love and wonderful memories. And he can live on in the illustrations you painted (which are beautiful). Thinking of you.

I hope you will find comfort in faith that God is our Savior.
