Paper Storage Issues Solved!

I haven't mentioned it here, but lack of paper storage has been the bane of my existence for a while now. My work space is strewn with piles of sketches and paintings because I don't have anywhere to put them.

After searching the internet for some affordable plan drawers with no success, I called my dad in desperation and wouldn't you know it, he had some just lying around. I haven't put them to use yet as we are in the process of moving house but I can't wait so be in my new and tidy studio. So thanks Dad for saving the day!

We lost our children's great grandfather early this morning. Even though I married into this family merely five years ago, at times I fail to remember that he wasn't my own grandfather. He was just so welcoming and made me feel right at home. He even inspired some of my favorite illustrations . Pop was a wonderful man whom I will warmly remember for his gruff yet affectionate manner and family-centered values. He will be greatly missed.

Illustration Friday - Sky

This is an old one from me but it's still one of my favourites. I haven't been able to participate in Illustration Friday of late as I've been illustrating my very first picture book! I have a couple of projects in the works and am a busy lady. I don't have any work I can show you as yet and I haven't had time for personal art but I plan to get back into the swing of blogging this summer. I have some of my favourite resources to share and I'm sure some of my illustrator friends are wondering how I landed my first gig so I'll fill you in on that and more. Stay tuned!
