The Hats

These illustrations have been ruminating in my head for quite some time.  Ever since I made my daughter a party hat on her first birthday, a tradition has evolved in our house where we make people special party hats on their birthday. They are always weird and wonderful. On her pop's 81st birthday, Priya's dad helped her make a pair of matching hats as a gift.

I posted the sketches for these illustrations some weeks ago and linked them to Sunday Sketches so I thought I should link up again with the final result. Enjoy your Sunday everyone!
