Illustration Friday - Safari

What a convenient topic for me this week. I did the sketch for this illustration recently and had fun completing the painting today. It fits the topic quite well, don't you think?

  15. Thank you for your encouraging comments everyone. I'll have to check what paints I use Raluca, as I don't know off the top of my head :) But I'll let you know.

I still need to tell Diana Evans what sort of paper I use, oops! All I know is that it's second from the top at my local art shop:) Arches, 185 gsm, something or other...

  23. Adorable interpretation!
It is also so fitting. I am actually working on my submission still... which features a couple of giraffes. Just this morning my two year old son saw me working on it, and brought me a small giraffe toy like these from his lego zoo set. It's funny how vibrant their little minds are. Thanks for sharing this!!!
